Consumer price index in Ukraine went up by 0.3% in March, from 0.2% in February and January

An officially calculated consumer price index is 100.3% in March, against the previous month. From the same month last year, the index is 101.9%.

Pursuant to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the consumer price index grew by 0.3% in March. This index was 0.2% following results of January and February.

Note that in March, February and January 2011, the growth in the CPI was 1.4%, 0.9% and 1.0%, respectively.

The increase in CPI in March 2012, from March 2011, was 1.9%, whereas in January and February, the 2011-2012 difference equaled 3.7% and 3.0%, respectively.

Deceleration of the growth in the consumer price index began in July 2011, when the NBU tightened its monetary policy.
