CreditMarket Index: a mean effective rate on mortgage is stable at 24.12%

CreditMarket Mortgage Index decreased to 24.12%, down 0.02% (an effective rate on mortgage per annum, in UAH). The information is as of 10 May 2012.

Denis Rakovsky, Sales Director at KreditMarket: “CreditMarket Mortgage Index rallied at 24.12%. For two weeks since the last measurement, no bank from our CreditMarket Mortgage Index changed its terms and conditions on this crediting type by increasing a nominal interest rate (VTB bank). However, it did not have impact on the mean effective rate on mortgage loans. In the short- and mid-term, we forecast the absence of significant changes in the index for mortgage around the current value, as there’re no market grounds for this to occur. Despite the fact that the government extensively declares implementation of mortgage programs, this will not effect on the commercial crediting market until these programs start working with maximum performance.”
