CreditMarket Index: a mean effective rate on credits for home appliances and electronics has stabilized at 124.33%

CreditMarket Index: a mean effective rate on credits for home appliances and electronics has stabilized at 124.33%,

Denis Rakovsky, Sales Director at KreditMarket: “An effective rate on credits for home appliances and electronics did not change in early February after it decreased to 124.33% in mid-January from 129.14% recorded in late October.

In the third decade of January, no bank from our Consumer Loan Index list changed its terms on consumer loans.

A stability observed within two weeks of January is explained by the fact that banks did not consider it necessary to make further changes after adjustments taken on the first days of this year.

Despite the credit resource cost decrease that has started in the Ukrainian banking market, Consumer Loan Index is still high. The reason is that high prices of unsecured loans for goods are mainly supported by growing risks implied by these loans.

Therefore, in the short term we do not predict any significant decrease in the cost of loans for home appliances.”
